How to cure papillomas

Papillomas on the skin of the eyelids, requiring treatment

Papillomavirus is the most common virus found in the human body. It can remain dormant, i. e. dormant, for several months to several years. Under the influence of certain provoking factors, the virus begins to manifest itself in the form of the formation of warts and growths on the skin, called papillomas. How to treat papillomas, what are the symptoms of such an infectious disease, is described in more detail in the article.

Features of treatment

Only a specialist should treat a human papillomavirus infection. Therapy with folk remedies at home is carried out only with the consent of the attending physician.

According to official data, there are more than 100 types of this disease. Treatment and typical symptoms will vary from case to case. For this reason, it is quite difficult to decide on the necessary method of therapy, and the wrong approach can lead to a worsening of the situation and the spread of the symptoms of the pathology in the body.

Before starting the treatment of papillomas on the body, the doctor establishes the real reason for the development of the disease.

Only after that the specialist chooses the most effective method of therapy. Of course, at the pharmacy counters you can find many remedies that would help get rid of the symptoms of the disease, but some of them may not only be ineffective, but also worsen the course of the pathology.

One of them includes acid to cauterize infectious formations and nitrogen to freeze, the use of which helps them fall on their own. There are also special patches that are stuck to the sore spot and left for 2-3 hours. After this time, the place is wetted with water, the patch is peeled off and the wart comes off with it.

Famous doctors believe that such therapeutic methods are effective only in eliminating the external manifestations of the disease, while HPV still remains in the body and can be activated after a certain period of time. To get rid of the papillomavirus itself, you need to see a doctor. In this case, special antiviral agents are prescribed, which can suppress the infection and its generalization in the body.

So, let's look at how to get rid of the external manifestations that characterize the disease, which are:

  • cryodestruction,
  • laser therapy,
  • electrocoagulation,
  • radio wave surgery.

Cryodestruction

The traditional method of treating papillomas in men and women is cryodestruction, that is, the use of liquid nitrogen, which is applied to the wart, thereby freezing it. Immediately after application, a burning sensation appears, which disappears after a short time. Despite this discomfort, the procedure helps to necrotize the growth tissue, after which it dies. This allows new healthy tissue to grow in the area.

Cryodestruction - targeted removal of the papilloma with liquid nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen, when applied to a skin tumor, is unable to affect the surrounding healthy tissue.

The advantage is that there is no danger of bleeding, because during the freezing process the arterial and venous arteries that are located in this area are blocked. The area that is treated with liquid nitrogen heals quite quickly. No scars remain on it, since such a drug does not transform the tissues. In some cases, a barely noticeable scar remains, but this is quite rare. For the most part, it's smooth and clear skin after the procedure.

This method of treating papillomas in women and men is practically painless, except for a slight burning sensation immediately after applying the product.

Laser removal

Some doctors do not even think about how to treat papilloma in this or that person, but immediately prescribe laser therapy. During the treatment, low-intensity rays are used, which helps to achieve the following results:

  • stimulation of normal blood circulation in the affected area;
  • improving tissue nutrition;
  • activation of self-healing processes.

All these processes together help in the rapid healing of the treated surface. There are 2 stages of treatment of the symptoms of the disease:

  • Cutting the growth.
  • Coagulation (closure of blood vessels and affected cells).

This is the second stage of the therapy, which guarantees the exclusion of the development of an inflammatory process in the area of laser exposure and tissue scars. As a rule, after removal of a tumor with a diameter of no more than 5 mm, no scar remains as such. After getting rid of larger growths, you can observe the formation of inconspicuous spots that have a whitish tint.

Laser therapy has the advantage of eliminating the possibility of affecting surrounding healthy tissue, thus reducing the risk of infection. Another advantage of the treatment is the ability to control the depth of laser exposure during the procedure. The target is only the changed tissue, namely the area with the wart, which turns into a crust and falls off.

Taking into account the accuracy of the effect of laser rays, we can conclude that papillomas can be cured with this method even in the genital area, eliminating the risk of complications in the postoperative period. As for the disadvantages of laser therapy, they include a side effect - a burn that disappears by itself over time.

Electrocoagulation

You can treat growths in any area (papillomas on the neck, armpits, etc. ) using electrocoagulation - a method that involves using an electric current to burn the changed tissue. The current comes from a special device - the main tool involved in the procedure.

Electrocoagulation procedure for effective papilloma removal

Electrocoagulation is an inexpensive pleasure that makes the therapy possible for every ordinary person.

The total duration of one session is no more than 15 minutes. If the growth is small, there is no need to re-treat. The complete disappearance of symptoms occurs 7 days after the procedure. During this time there is no pain or any discomfort.

For all people, including a child, it is necessary to check the removed tissue for malignancy. This is necessary for the reason that even a benign neoplasm can degenerate into a malignant one. In this case, the biological material is subjected to histological analysis.

Before performing electrocoagulation, the specialist carries out diagnostic measures that allow identifying existing contraindications to the use of this technique.

Radiation therapy

Symptoms caused by the virus and its activity in the body can be treated using a technique such as radiotherapy. Treatment will help eliminate both single growths and multiple tumors throughout the body. The advantages of such therapy include the lack of risk of postoperative scars and the elimination of stimulation of nerve endings. This allows the method to be used in the treatment of papillomas in any area, including the face, for example in the eyes.

The following contraindications include:

  • pregnancy period;
  • concomitant cancer;
  • inflammatory process of the skin in the area where therapy is needed;
  • menstruation;
  • any disease that manifests itself in the acute stage.

Before conducting therapy, the area affected by the radio waves is treated with an anesthetic. This can be a special anesthetic cream, spray or injection with such a drug. The total duration of the session is no more than 30 minutes. After direct removal of the growth, a small sore appears in its place, which heals over time, and a thin crust forms in its place. The latter also disappears after some time.

How to get rid of a virus

Treatment of papillomavirus by removing only external manifestations will not be effective, because in the future it will still manifest itself through the appearance of the same symptoms. So, is it possible to cure such a virus and how to do it? To achieve this goal, special drugs are prescribed, used in combination, namely:

  • antiviral in various forms of release;
  • immunomodulators.

With the help of antiviral drugs, it is possible to destroy the structure of the human papillomavirus and prevent its further spread in the body. These can be gels, ointments, tablets, suppositories, injection solutions. Tablets are considered the most effective. Tablets are often prescribed to help suppress the activity of the virus.

If symptoms of genital papillomavirus appear, the use of rectal suppositories is prescribed, which help to eliminate and prevent the inflammatory process in this area and strengthen local immunity. The daily dose of such products is 1-2 suppositories.

Immunomodulators are prescribed to increase the body's resistance to the activity of the virus. They should only be prescribed by a specialist, as they affect a person's immune system.

Treatment at home

As noted above, folk remedies are only a supplement to the main therapy, but in no case the main treatment. You can use the following natural components:

  • eggs (crude protein is applied to the growth of the skin several times a day until it begins to fall on its own);
  • castor oil (rub the affected areas with this product several times a day, covering them with a bandage or scarf; the method is used until the growth disappears);
  • laundry soap (the method is used only in case of existing papillomas on the skin; such treatment is not suitable for mucous membranes; rub the growth for 5 days, trying not to damage the integrity of the fabric);
  • celandine (after steaming the skin with a neoplasm, it, together with the neoplasm, is smeared with an oily cream, and then with plant juice; the procedure is carried out several times a day for a week);
  • garlic (used in the treatment of papillomas in any area, except for the face and genitals, so as not to burn; a clove cut in half is used to lubricate the growth every 5 minutes for half an hour; the procedure should beperformed in the morning and evening for 2 weeks);
  • iodine (after lubricating the skin around the growth with a rich cream, iodine is used: with the help of a cotton swab, it is applied to the growth until symptoms of inflammation appear, after which it begins to fall on its own);
  • dandelions (using the plant, make an infusion by filling the heads with cologne and let it infuse for 2 weeks; after that time, filter the infusion and lubricate the growth with it until it falls off on its own).

Human papillomavirus infection can become dangerous to health, especially if treatment is not started promptly and completely. That is why it is important to consult a doctor at the first warning signs.
